SAPA Mobile Eases Counseling Service for Residents

PT Hanwha Life Indonesia gave two units of the Women and Children's Friend Counseling (SAPA) Service Car through the collaboration with Save the Children and NFDMC.

Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Mochammad Miftahulloh Tamary said the mobile car service aims to give direct consultation for family related with violence against women and children case.

Jakarta Receives Grant of Two Counseling Service Cars

He added that this service will be handled by professional counselors from the Family Service Center (PUSPA) and the Women and Children Protection Center (PPPA).

"The car is important to reach Jakarta residents who need counseling," he said, Thursday (1/16).

According to him, the SAPA Mobile service is not only providing consultation, but also as a communication and education to increase public awareness related to the importance of protecting women and children.

"The program is inline with the provincial government's effort in creating a safe, friendly environment that supports the women and children right," he added.

As the part of the Family Quality Improvement Program, he continued, the SAPA Mobile service also aims to provide comprehensive services. Creating gender equality, addressing various issues of domestic violence, and improving women and children welfare in Jakarta are the main focus of the service.

Miftah continued that the SAPA Mobile service is able to bring counseling service closer to the residents who had difficulty accessing the facility.

He explained that the service provides solution and helps preventing violence case with its direct education and counseling.

This synergy is a part of joint mission to build friendlier and more social justice of Jakarta. He hopes this will inspire other sides to join in contributing to create safer, more advanced and prosperous environment for women and children in Jakarta.
